What is Prairie View?

Prairie View is a non-profit, outcomes based, regional behavioral and mental health system with six locations in Kansas. Prairie View's headquarters is located on a 70-acre campus on the eastern edge of Newton, Kans. A number of mental health services are provided from that location including psychiatric hospitalization, outpatient services, a community support program, an adventure course, an accredited day school and organizational consultation services. Prairie View's six other outpatient locations provide services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults for a complete range of behavioral and mental health issues including, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, eating disorders, dementia, sexually related issues, grief, cognitive disorders, alcohol and substance abuse issues, family and marriage issues and more.

Prairie View Marion office is the Community Mental Health Center of Marion County. Prairie View McPherson office is the Community Mental Health Center of McPherson County. Prairie View Newton office is the Community Mental Health Center for Harvey County.

Prairie View is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and licensed by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services and, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
